Nikrothal® TE is an austenitic nickel-chromium (NiCr) for use at temperatures up to 1200°C (2190°F). The alloy is developed for use in metal sheathed tubular elements.
The alloy combines low nickel content and low temperature factor of resistivity. It is a highly attractive alternative to alloys with higher nickel content, such as Nikrothal® 80. In most tubular element applications it is possible to achieve at least the same indicated service life by performing a slight element redesign.
