Furnace tubes

Extruded tubes designed for both gas-heated and electric-heated furnaces, delivering strength and reliability at temperatures up to 1,250°C (2,280°F). Available in sizes ranging from 26 to 260 mm (1.02–10.2 in.) outside diameter, these tubes are manufactured from advanced iron-chromium-aluminium (FeCrAl) and nickel-chromium (NiCr) alloys, including Kanthal® APMKanthal® APMT, and Kanthal® AF.

Engineered for versatility, Kanthal® furnace tubes are well-suited for radiant tubes, thermocouple protection tubes, muffle tubes, and other high-temperature applications. With superior resistance to thermal shock, carburization, and distortion, they offer longer service life and higher power ratings compared to traditional materials such as NiCr, alumina, or silicon carbide.

Explore our range of furnace tube solutions, including Kanthal® APM and Kanthal® APM and APMT, Kanthal® AF tubes, and U and W-shaped radiant tube designs.

Radiant tubes

Kanthal® radiant tubes, made from advanced Kanthal® APM and Kanthal® APMT FeCrAl alloys, are designed for maximum reliability in demanding industrial heating environments. With proven resistance to carburization, thermal shock, sagging, and distortion, these tubes deliver longer service life and higher power output than traditional NiCr, ceramic, or silicon carbide alternatives. Available as complete, ready-to-install assemblies tailored to customer specifications, Kanthal® radiant tubes help reduce maintenance needs while ensuring consistent performance.

Kanthal® APM and APMT

Kanthal® APM and Kanthal® APMT alloys set the standard for high-temperature furnace tubes, combining excellent form stability, corrosion resistance, and thermal conductivity. Operating at tube temperatures up to 1,250°C (2,282°F), these FeCrAl alloys outperform alumina, silicon carbide, and NiCr alternatives. The protective oxide layer formed on the surface ensures long-lasting reliability. Kanthal® APMT provides even higher hot strength than Kanthal® APM, extending tube service life in the most demanding industrial environments.

Kanthal® AF radiant tubes

Kanthal® AF radiant tubes bring a new level of efficiency and reliability to high-temperature furnaces. Designed to outperform traditional NiCr tubes, they combine excellent oxidation resistance with reduced wall thickness for faster heat response and greater energy efficiency. Kanthal® AF tubes are made of a ferritic iron-chromium-aluminum alloy (FeCrAl). Designed for vertical installation, the tubes are spiral-welded, ensuring they have symmetrical properties from every angle. Tested extensively, they represent the latest innovation in Kanthal’s radiant tube portfolio.
